We are breeding our female Pattern Dinker to our Lavender to see if the unique pattern is
dominant, co-dominant, recessive or non-genetic. This is the first step. All the babies will
be het for Lavender and will either have a normal pattern, slightly messed up pattern or
the pattern exhibited from the wild caught female parent. We're expecting normal
patterned babies, but will not reject any uniquely patterned babies.
The next step will be to breed two of the babies back to each other and a male back to the
mother. This process will take some time, but will be fun in the process. That's what it's all
about!
We're keeping our fingers crossed on this one. Hoping for both Males and females to
work with. We have six good eggs to work with, so our odds are in our favor.
