Silicone Mold Crations

Silicone molds can be used to hold the liquid soap batter until it saponifies, retaining the shape of the silicone mold. Different colored batters can be used, adding to the complexity and difficulty in the design of the soap. We pride ourselves on our silicone molded soaps and have actually designed and created some of our own unique soaps using this method

Soap Dough Creations

Soap dough is fully saponified soap that has not been allowed to dehydrate and is the consistency of Play doh. This dough can be used to create embeds, embellishments or entire soap creations. Let your imagination go wild

Soap Embeds vs Embellishments

We distinguish between embeds and embellishments by how the image is used to make the soap. If the soap image is added to the liquid soap batter, it is called an embed. It is embedded into the soap. The moon and tree, in the soaps above, were embedded into a loaf of soap and cut into bars so each bar of soap is the same. The images go through the entire bar of soap

Soap Embellishments vs Embeds

The soaps depicted here have embellishments. The images were added to each bar of soap after it was cured and do not go through the actual bar of soap

Painted Soap

Sometimes we use special paints to color our soaps. This is done for a number of reasons, Sometimes the detail is better defined by painting it. If we want a metallic look that soap colorants can not provide, we can use a mica base paint. We also use paint to cover up "mistakes" when the soap process doesn't go according to plan

Exfoliating Soap

There is an unlimited number of exfoliants that can be used in soap making. Depending on what you use and how finely it is ground, your soap can be quite gritty to very smooth. Coffee grounds are the most abrasive exfoliant that we have used, while oatmeal is the most mild. Our favorites are citrus peel and banana peel - mostly because they smell the best and aren't too abrasive on the skin

Melt & Pour vs Cold and Hot Process Soap Making

Melt & Pour is a type of soap where a glycerine base soap is re-melted and poured into molds. It differs from cold or hot process soap making because it is the remelting of soap that has already been made. Hot or Cold process soap actually creates soap from combining lye with fats and oils. Hot process soap making uses heat to speed up the chemical reaction of soap making (saponification) where cold process soap making does not

Creative Pour Creations

There are unlimited number of ways to pour soap batter into molds. The way in which it is done and the consistency of your soap batter determines the end result and thus the name of the pour. Examples include: Line Pour, Drop swirl, In-The-Pot Swirl, Wood Grain, One Pot Wonder and the list goes on.
