Maudiae Type Paphs
Light
Known for their beautiful flowers and two-tone, mottled leaves, Maudiae type Paphiopedilums are considered low light orchids and do best if grown in bright indirect light with no direct sunlight. They will tolerate some direct sunlight as long as it doesn't burn or fade out the leaves. The leaves should be a rich two-tone color with will vary in shades from one hybrid to another.
Water & Potting
As terrestrial orchids that grown in the leaf litter, your plants would like to grow in a bark mix that is kept moist - never allowed to dry out. We recommend replacing your mix when you first get your orchid and every year to keep it fresh and clean preventing the mix from breaking down and rotting the roots..
Temperature
Maudiae Paphs are most happy in temperatures where you're comfortable. They will tolerate temperatures down in the 50F's and up to 100F or more. But prefer 65F - 75F
